Another day dedicated to environmental protection for the nonprofit organization Plastic Free , which is busy this Sunday cleaning up the Sennori countryside. A walk in nature that turns into a concrete action for the environment .

Coordinating the initiative was Patrizia Grandjean, who, along with six volunteers, dedicated several hours to cleaning up a rural area sadly plagued by incivility. They were joined by two students who chose to delve deeper into the topic of waste as a study project, transforming the field experience into a hands-on learning experience.

The collection total is significant, with at least 50 kilograms of glass bottles, large quantities of plastic, and various bulky items , including a bottomless wicker basket and a metal pipe about half a meter long. This picture once again highlights the widespread bad habit of abandoning waste.

"What's particularly striking is the variety of materials found and the ease with which they're dispersed into nature, despite the presence of dedicated collection centers. This behavior not only ruins the landscape, but also compromises the balance of ecosystems and the future of future generations," the organizers emphasize.

Despite the disappointment over what we found, the day took place in a positive atmosphere, also favored by the good weather , and represented a further step in the awareness-raising process carried out by Plastic Free in the area.

Plogging Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 18th, with the meeting at 5 pm at the church of San Giovanni Battista, while on April 26th at 9:15 am there will be another two-hour environmental cleanup day.
