The memories of the great fire two years ago that devastated Montiferru and Planargia are still very much alive, but there is also a strong will to start over and look to the future. 40 new trees including holm oaks, wild olives and pears have been planted in Sennariolo near the hill of Santa Vittoria, but this is only the beginning.

"The event - explains the mayor Gianbattista Ledda - marks the start of the process that will lead to the elaboration of the project proposed by the Medsea foundation for the environmental and forestry restoration of the hill for a total of 40 hectares".

Illustrious guest and testimonial of a day not to be forgotten was the former pilot Nico Rosberg with two pilots from his team, representing the foundation that bears his name and who has always been at the forefront of important environmental initiatives.

The main financial sponsors did not want to be missing either: Extreme-e, Aci and Allianz. The participation of a delegation from the schools of Sennariolo as well as two classes of an elementary school in Cagliari involved by Allianz was also very significant.

"This is only a first step - underlines Mayor Ledda - of a very ambitious project destined to bear fruit".
