Accused of stealing various goods from a shop in Selargius, a 50-year-old unemployed local man was stopped and arrested by the Carabinieri of the Quartu Company's Mobile Radio Unit.

The man allegedly stole various goods worth over 500 euros.

The supermarket guards allegedly noticed him as he tried to leave the mall without paying. He was stopped by the police and taken to the police station and then placed under house arrest. He faces charges of theft. The trial is scheduled for tomorrow morning. The stolen goods have been recovered.
