About two thousand plants seized : they would have guaranteed a production of about 3.5 quintals of dried marijuana , for a value - on the dealing market - of about half a million euros .
From the first sample analyzes, carried out at the Department of Life and Environmental Sciences of the University of Cagliari, the plants had active principle values higher than the maximum allowed limit.
Two people were reported during the operation: a 57-year-old, who was in charge of irrigating and caring for the plants, and a 73-year-old from Nuoro, owner of the land.
