The Carabinieri of the Monserrato and Sinnai stations intervened in via Istria in Selargius, at a shop owned by a 57-year-old local hairdresser, following a report of a theft in progress.

Arriving quickly on site, the military surprised inside the premises a 36-year-old unemployed man from Selargius, already known to the police, who had forced entry to the shop and taken possession of the cash fund.

The immediate personal search allowed the Carabinieri to find the stolen money, which was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.

The man was then arrested for aggravated theft and, at the end of the formal procedures, by order of the Judicial Authority, he was held in the security cells of the Carabinieri Station of Cagliari Villanova, awaiting the celebration of the summary trial.
