Regarding the investigation into the murder of Mario Sedda, killed in Porto Torres in March 2021, the preliminary investigations judge of the Sassari Court rejected the opposition of the civil party, represented by the lawyer Pietro Diaz, to the request for dismissal presented by the prosecutor, Angelo Beccu, on behalf of the suspect Salvatore Carboni.
The lawyer representing the victim's sister, Eleonora Sedda, has appealed the preliminary investigations judge's decision.
The request for dismissal had been filed in recent weeks by the prosecutor, not only against Salvatore Carboni, but also against three other suspects in the Sedda case. Attorney Diaz believes Carboni played a significant role in the murder, for which, by order of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, the Carabinieri arrested Emanuele Sircana, 20, from Porto Torres, a minor at the time, last June.
And just in recent days, the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office requested an evidentiary hearing for a witness believed to be at risk of intimidation.
Meanwhile, the RIS in Cagliari are continuing their non-repeatable technical investigations into the clothes worn by Mario Sedda at the time of his murder, on the night between March 30 and 31, 2021.
