The director of the Quartu socio-health district, Ugo Storelli , intervenes on the appointment of the second general practitioner who has been missing in Burcei since the end of last year, with very serious inconvenience.

" Aware of the inconveniences resulting from this shortage, the ASL of Cagliari, in collaboration with the municipal administration of Burcei, has put in place numerous attempts , especially after noting the lack of adhesion of some professionals to the numerous tenders carried out, first with the collaboration precious of the Pediatricians of Free Choice (PLS) of Burcei and, subsequently, with the great availability of the only general practitioner present, Dr. Fabio Corona ".

"Only 20 days ago - he continues - two new professionals gave partial availability (for the moment) of six hours of surgery per week, each in addition to the ever present Doctor Corona (with another six hours)".

Furthermore, "to facilitate the commitment of the three doctors (especially due to the numerous requests for referrals that - adds Storelli - have accumulated over time), a nurse has been collaborating for two weeks who, from next Monday, May 23, will be part of the staff of the nursing clinic. An innovative service dedicated to local citizens able to offer health advice and activities such as minor dressings, glycemic checks, removal of sutures, injections and intramuscular and intravenous therapeutic treatments ".
