No stop to cars with the pedestrian square in Sassari. The councilor for Infrastructure and Mobility Massimo Rizzu reassures motorists after the announcement of the work that will complete the works begun in via Torre Tonda by the previous administration.
"Cars will continue to be able to pass through via Brigata Sassari," the councilor said. "The pedestrianization of the only stretch where there is a flowerbed that allows us to turn around is being completed."
«The square will be pedestrian - he continues - and partly accessible to vehicles with timetables to allow businesses to stock up on goods».
The initiative, financed with 1 million and 113 thousand euros including the redevelopment of via Torre Tonda, aims to promote sociality : «The beautification of that stretch will allow citizens, residents and those who frequent the area to benefit from additional space to be able to walk peacefully in an area that we consider the living room of the city».
Thanks to the council resolution approved in recent days , the municipal administration intends to continue with the restyling of key areas of the historic center as stated in the Single Programming Document , a desire that will also lead to the creation of other squares similar to the one planned between via Brigata Sassari and via Enrico Costa.
