"We are under siege by uncivilized people." The protest was raised in Sassari by residents of Monte Rosello and the committee that represents them , "Together for the Neighborhood."

The signs of degradation are evident on multiple fronts, particularly the environmental one. Beginning, it is reported, in the courtyard between the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and Via José María Escriva, where "hazardous waste such as gas cylinders and car batteries have been abandoned , a site cleaned up only a few years ago by volunteers from the Plastic Free association."

Also in Via Sennori it is reported that the usual suspects left " behind an electrical substation, waste and clothing, a site that was cleared at the time by the competent department due to the presence of syringes at our reports".

Other critical issues, the Committee continues, include the former district on Via Poligono, up to the Via Pirandello roundabout, which have become small landfills. "The Committee calls for an improvement in video surveillance services in the neighborhood," it concludes, "always ready for a fruitful collaboration with the administration, which has never failed to offer its support in this context, to try to stem this phenomenon, which is intolerable for a civilized society."
