A €100,000 fine . Carabinieri officers from the Sassari Labor Inspectorate have fined a provincial entrepreneur who attempted to evade inspections through deception. The move came a few days ago, following a months-long investigation coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office into a company in the care sector.

The company had already been visited by the military some time before and the checks had ascertained the presence of illegal workers, thus leading to the adoption of the measure to suspend the business activity, and of irregular workers, over 100 , for whom the pseudo-self-employed employment relationship was reclassified into subordinate employment.

But the violations didn't end there, because a subsequent inspection also revealed the inadequacy of the Risk Assessment Document, to which the employer responded in the following days by submitting the necessary documentation. The Carabinieri discovered that the workplace safety training certificates presented, which appeared to be issued by nationally accredited training institutions, were fake : one of them had been issued by the training institution but to a different person and for a course with an entirely different purpose.

Hence the punishment for the entrepreneur, who is accused of using a false document and failing to train the RSPP and workers. The total fine, including fines and administrative penalties, amounts to over €100,000.
