Twenty million euros for 30 interventions in total . This is the figure hypothesized yesterday in Sassari, at Palazzo Ducale in the IV and V council commissions, to redevelop all the sports facilities in Sassari.

A commitment that, for now, remains on paper while the interventions illustrated by the Councilor for Public Works Salvatore Sanna on some structures, between the city and the suburbs, are reality.

The Via Kennedy sports hall in the Latte Dolce neighborhood, intended for volleyball and handball, financed with 4.5 million euros, mostly from the Pnrr, is moving towards the approval of the executive project. The final tests have been carried out for the gym in Corso Cossiga , home of the Serie A table tennis championship, where new flooring, air conditioning and a photovoltaic system have been installed. Four interventions with funds from the sports credit loan for some synthetic soccer fields. From the Carbonazzi playing field, 2.5 million euros, to the Latte Dolce one, with times slowed down by some notes from the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti, in Ottava, nearing completion by 2024, and costing 645 thousand euros. Two 5-a-side and 7-a-side courts will then open next year in the Acquedotto complex. Among the renovated gyms is the one in Sacro Cuore, formerly Cral, for which 359 thousand euros will be spent and for which the executive project has been acquired. 500 thousand euros instead for the gym between via Bottego and via Pirandello, whose restyling is still in its embryonic phase.

The work for Santa Maria Bambina is linked to the Bando Periferie, which is nearing completion with the awaited certificate of habitability. And while the Palaserradimigni construction sites for lot 1 are well known, with the executive project for the other areas to be delivered by the end of the year, there are two programs in particular for which the new administration will participate in the Region's tenders. Starting with the Tennis Academy, in the Monserrato area, where a roof is being planned for the second court and a removable 44-seat grandstand to be used also for the skating rink. For the Torres Tennis, in via Bozzo, the focus is on waterproofing the terrace, creating a driveway and completing the court roof with an additional module. Of great interest to the rossoblu fans of the football team is the desire to acquire funding for the Vanni Sanna stadium, so as to create LED lighting and turnstiles.

«Fundamental steps - explains Councilor Sanna - to obtain approval in series B».

Some controversy was sparked during the session by Forza Italia commissioner Vanni Azzena according to whom the funds for the fields often go to companies managed by left-wing people and, for this reason, the blue one asks for parity of sports companies in Sassari. "We own about 50 sports facilities - responds councilor Sanna - our goal is to achieve equity for all the structures".
