Sassari, they try to steal a Nigerian's TV: one arrest
A fellow countryman of the victim intervened and managed to stop one of the three thieves: 21-year-old from Sassari in handcuffs

A 21-year-old from Sassari tried to steal a television last night in the historic center of the capital of Sassari, together with two accomplices.
Together they chose the TV owned by a Nigerian citizen who was absent at the time. They tore down the front door and entered the house trying to remove the appliance from its hinges, but they had not foreseen the intervention of the compatriot of the injured party.
The latter surprised the thieves, two of whom managed to escape, while the third was stopped by the non-EU citizen who called the police. The officers arrested the young man, who was taken to court in Sassari this morning for a summary trial.
Judge Giancosimo Mura ordered the 21-year-old, defended by lawyer Marco Palmieri, to remain at home during the night.
