A new mobile station of the local police will monitor the San Donato neighborhood , in the historic center of Sassari . The vehicle will be purchased by the Municipality and will be available to the Command in a few months.

The new mobile station will be equipped with cutting-edge technology tools and high-performance video cameras capable of filming the entire area at 360 degrees . The new vehicle will try to strengthen and facilitate the control of one of the most problematic neighborhoods in the historic center, where the local police mobile station has already begun to obtain results this summer.

The post was further strengthened in July, with a significant investment in both human and material resources. Since it was established, the number of agents working in the area has increased from four to ten, organized in two shifts.

Since the beginning of the summer, the agents have been engaged for 7,200 hours, constantly guarding the historic center and patrolling on foot the alleys of San Donato; 4,400 were the activities carried out by the municipal police, with administrative checks in commercial premises, judicial police investigations, and checks on the presence of foreign citizens.

Among the 58 judicial police activities there are three arrests, including an armed man who threatened people on the street. The people identified were 118, 272 activities carried out in the field of urban security, 172 reports.

36 commercial activities were checked, three were closed because they did not comply with the regulations and one was banned from using its kitchens.

With regard to traffic police checks, 215 interventions were recorded for road obstructions or closures, and 1,194 fines were issued for violations of the highway code.
