The opening of the link road between the Buddi Buddi and the former 131 Carlo Felice in Sassari is just a few months away. After 16 years of planning and approximately €9 million invested, the project, financed by the Region and the Province with the release of several loans, will be completed by December.

The ten spans of the 2km-long section are almost complete, which will relieve traffic congestion from provincial road 60 and direct it towards the former 131. The work, overseen by the provincial administration's road sector, lasted three years, despite various setbacks and particular attention given to the span over the Porto Torres-Chilivani railway, one of the most complex sections.

With the additional €1 million allocated by the regional Public Works department, and the requested supplementary assessment, two at-grade junctions will be built: one will connect traffic towards the countryside and the second towards Sant'Orsola, a strategic move in anticipation of a potential expansion of the neighborhood.
