Today's kids don't live on books alone. A particularly attractive aid for teaching comes from the use of extended reality . This was seen by students of the Pellegrini Institute of Sassari who took part in the demonstration tour of the technology developed by the Sassari company XRIT .

Thanks to viewers and technology, girls and boys were able to take cultural tours in places hundreds of kilometers away from the school.

«Kids who wear the viewer – explained Claudia Saba , administrator of XRIT– can walk freely and physically within a world in which there are mixed, real and virtual contents , and they can interact with it. The XTOURS package contains visits concerning the Italian artistic and cultural heritage ».

The project is part of "Rigenerazione Scuola", the MIUR Plan for the ecological and cultural transition of schools, conceived in the context of the implementation of the UN Agenda 2030. It will now be extended to the other secondary schools in the province.

The demonstration took place in the presence of the manager Paolo Acone, of Claudia Corona, of XRIT, and of Salvatore Saba, head of cabinet of the Province of Sassari.
