Rescue mission to the Sassari cemetery , to rescue four trapped puppies .

The alarm was raised by some citizens who were present in the cemetery and heard some strange noises coming from underground .

Then barking was heard and it was discovered that the dogs, all a few months old, were stuck in the network of excavations that passes under the cemetery.

After reporting to the local Police Command , the city zoophile guards and the North Area Canine Registry and Stray Animal Department of the ASL of Sassari were alerted, led by the veterinarian Andrea Sarria.

After being identified - inside some very deep conduits - the dogs were recovered.

The workers of the external company that manages the maintenance of the cemetery then opened a passage by moving some heavy slabs and immediately lowered themselves into an inspection pit . In the meantime, the veterinarians of the Canine Registry and Stray Animals department have taken care to create an obligatory route to the recovery area.

At that point the workers caught the puppies and managed to bring them to safety .

The dogs, all mestizos with brindle coats , are around 4 months old and according to veterinarians are in good condition. In all probability they were abandoned by unknown persons inside the cemetery and made it their home.
