In 2019, a then twenty-one-year-old man had the unfortunate idea of entering a club in Sassari and threatening those present to steal the takings. But the club's manager, a 43-year-old from Sassari, responded forcefully, punching the thief in the face and then using a billiard triangle to suffocate him. He then hit him on the head with the instrument, then moved on to the billiard cue, which he "used" against the young man's hips with such force that it shattered.

The results were head and facial trauma, a fractured nose, and various bruises, which will heal in 30 days. Today, Judge Elena Barmina ordered the victim, represented by lawyer Antonio Sanna, to pay a provisional sum of €3,000 to the attacker, the club's manager.

For the latter, assisted by lawyer Marco Palmieri, the judge also sentenced him to 10 months for assault.
