"The wild boar they shot? It's still there." Two days ago in Sassari, a bullet attempted to hit one of the many ungulates that roam the city on Via Rockefeller. The "hunter," believed to be a resident of the neighborhood, however, missed the prey.

"Every night," reports someone living between Via Rockefeller and Via Fondazione Rockefeller, "a wild boar rummages through the bins and keeps us awake." The signs, captured on numerous videos, are unmistakable. Garbage scattered across the floor, food scraps strewn across several meters, and even torn diapers are evidence of the mammal causing various kinds of damage every night.

"And it's not a ghost—they joke—it's really him." Moreover, despite the video footage and the shouts to make him go away, he continues to grunt and tumble undaunted. And, since not even a bullet has stopped him, it's assumed he'll continue. Meanwhile, the man who fired the shot has reportedly been reported by the Carabinieri.
