A large family celebration celebrated the 100th birthday of Antonina Melis , born in Cagliari on September 10, 1926. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren gathered around her to share a special moment filled with affection, memories, and photographs.

On her birthday, the city administration also paid tribute to their centenarian. On behalf of Mayor Massimo Zedda and the city, City Council President Marco Benucci presented Antonina Melis with a commemorative medal.

"It's a joy to be able to celebrate such an important milestone and bring Antonina and her family the greetings and affection of her entire hometown," said Benucci.

A housewife, Antonina Melis shared her life with her husband, Efisio, a daycare center attendant. Together they raised 13 children, building a family that over the years has grown to include over 40 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
