Four houses of residents of via Bachelet who, in recent days, had protested by reporting their story were auctioned off yesterday in the courthouse in Sassari . Three out of four were sold while several people from the Buyers' Committee of the street in the Baddimanna neighborhood waited behind the door of the auction room.

There is great bitterness over the fate of their homes, purchased years ago, in some cases three times the original price, delivered by the company incomplete and always completed with the money of those who hoped to have bought their first home.

The whole affair began when, in 1994, the Ingedil cooperative was formed, which was later joined by 12 people, the ones who make up the current committee. They discovered at the time of the assignment of the housing, as the residents reported in a statement, "that they had to answer for huge debts caused by the management of the association by another company". And at that point the construction company promoted, "the revocation action against the assignees of the housing to protect their alleged credits". And we arrive at today with the houses sold at auction. "Forty-eight thousand euros was the first figure with which they gave mine - explained yesterday Francesco Daga, president of the buyers' committee - and I spent more than double to buy it. I'm resigned but at this point I'm thinking about my health. I don't want to get sick because of this story".

One of the three houses was bought back by a member of the committee, but the other two were not . In the meantime, the survivors of the Ingedil cooperative hope that the many anomalies of a story that, they denounced, was not adequately monitored by the Municipality and Region will be clarified.
