In 2019, he had engraved the word “gay” with a key on the brass plate of a lawyer from Sassari, accompanying the gesture with a cross impressed on “law firm”. The lawyer who was the victim of the action, which took place at night near the Palace of Justice in Via Roma and was filmed by a camera, had reported the author for defamation and damage.
The trial that arose from the episode concluded today in court in Sassari with the sentence, ordered by judge Silvia Masala, of acquittal for the man, an entrepreneur who at the time ran a nearby venue, due to the "particular insignificance of the fact".
The man, defended by the lawyer Ivano Iai, will however have to pay the civil party costs and compensation for a total sum of approximately 10 thousand euros. Assisting the lawyer, the injured party in the proceedings, was the lawyer Elisabetta Udassi.
