The kitchens of the railway after-work club in via Predda Niedda in Sassari are on fire. The flames broke out, around 18:40, in an internal room of the premises used as a bar and reception room, soon invading the attic. The fire caused extensive damage, the causes of which are still to be ascertained but it is assumed that it could be due to a short circuit.

The intervention of the firefighters was providential , having removed in time some gas cylinders from the flames that could have caused much worse consequences.

It is likely that, until the causes of the fire are ascertained with certainty, the fire brigade will issue a warning against using the premises .
