Steals two televisions and escapes on the bus. The unusual theft occurred yesterday afternoon in Sassari in the industrial area of Predda Niedda, when a 32-year-old, after entering a supermarket in the area, stole a couple of televisions: he put them under his arm and ran away.
As chance would have it, at that very moment, an ATP vehicle was passing by and the man climbed on board. Witnesses alerted the local police officers who started tracking down the thief and, thanks to the bus's GPS, tracked down the vehicle he was traveling in.
Seeing himself discovered, the 32-year-old pulled the emergency brake and got out, leaving the televisions on board, trying to lose the police. The foot chase lasted only a few hundred meters. Blocked by the officers, he was taken to court this morning for the usual summary hearing where Judge Silvia Masala ordered the man, defended by the lawyer Claudio Mastandrea, to sign in.
