The charges are serious for a 70-year-old from Nuoro accused in court in Sassari of corruption and solicitation of minors.

Today, the hearing was held behind closed doors, before Judge Paolo Bulla, in which some alleged injured parties were heard, girls from the province of Sassari who, at the time of the events - from 2018 to 2021 - were 14 and 15 years old.

The four allegedly received explicit phrases on Instagram and Messenger from a person who, with different profiles, pretended to be a boy or a friend of a friend of the victim. The sexual content aimed at the young girls was unrestrained and, at times, the man allegedly offered cell phone top-ups in exchange for equally explicit words from the minors. He also allegedly sent photos and videos in which a person was visible intent on masturbating. In one case, the defendant allegedly committed the crime of harassment against one of the minors by contacting her on Instagram and making two video calls during which he masturbated . The investigations of the postal police have traced these behaviors back to the 70-year-old, or at least to his electronic devices , a point on which defense lawyer Rossana Macciocu focused.

The lawyer argued that it remains to be proven that her client is the real perpetrator of the crimes, also considering the expertise required to create so many different aliases with which to interface with the girls, a skill usually associated with younger people. The next hearing is in May.
