Danger in front of the nursery school on via Berlinguer in the Sassari 2 district. "The cars are going too fast," say the parents of the little students, "and every day we and our children risk being run over."
The episodes have become so numerous that they have led fathers and mothers to react. "We sent a certified email to the Municipality - says one of them, Angelo Meloni - through the school principal complaining about the situation."
The Department of Infrastructure and Traffic Mobility is asked to place signs on the street indicating the presence of the school. "And above all - everyone agrees - to put up deterrents because pedestrian crossings are certainly not enough."
Also because, right in front of the school, there is a playground and the little ones can cross in both directions. "Once to provide a bit of security - continues Angelo - there was the grandfather traffic policeman in the morning but he hasn't been seen since 2023". Sometimes the cars parked in front of the school cover the driver's view making everything even more dangerous. "We hope they intervene", declare the parents while a car, yet another, speeds along the road.
