Sassari, car on fire at the civic market

Car on fire last night in the parking lot of the Civic Market in Sassari. Around 11 pm the car, a Volkswagen Golf parked on the first basement level, caught fire for reasons that are currently being investigated. According to initial indications, it is likely that the fire was started deliberately.

The firefighters intervened on site to put out the flames and secure the area. A person present felt ill due to the fumes and was rescued by the 118 personnel .

At the moment the entrance to the parking lot is closed and it is not possible to access the structure, where the fire prevention system immediately went into operation . The Carabinieri are investigating what happened.
