The autopsy on the body of William Manca, the 45-year-old man from Sassari found dead on September 10th on the Ponti Pizzinnu road, hidden in vegetation, was completed this morning in Sassari. The examination was conducted by pathologist Francesco Serra , on the orders of the prosecutor's office and of the prosecutor Ermanno Cattaneo, who is leading the investigation.
To get an initial answer to the cause of death, the results of toxicology tests on samples taken from his organs will need to be received to determine whether the man had consumed alcohol or drugs, or both.
No external wounds or internal lesions were discovered, but the body was in a significant state of deterioration, such as to compromise a result that is certain for now.
The Carabinieri investigation has focused on four people, currently suspects, who allegedly spent the night with the 45-year-old. None of them are currently under investigation.
