A serious road accident occurred in the late morning on state road 131, at km 137, near Borore.

A motorcyclist and his passenger were involved. The driver was taken by air ambulance to Sassari Hospital in serious condition, while the woman was taken by ambulance to Nuoro Hospital.

According to the reconstruction of the Nuoro traffic police, a dog that suddenly crossed the road is believed to have caused the accident .

Rescue teams and ANAS vehicles arrived on the scene and cleared the road, which remained blocked for about an hour. By early afternoon, the situation returned to normal.
