" A man's dignity has been restored ." This is how lawyer GianMarco Mura commented on the ruling that, yesterday in court in Sassari, gave full acquittal to his client. Accused of sexual assault because the 50-year-old, according to the indictment, groped a 70-year-old woman in 2020 while he was accompanying her to repair the tire of her car that had been flat on the 131 exit. The woman had reported that the man, employed in roadside assistance, had also made explicit sexual advances to her. "But the circumstances described by the woman - continues the lawyer - were denied by other witnesses ."
During the discussion, the prosecutor Gianni Caria had requested a sentence of 2 years and 6 months while the civil party lawyer Gabriele Satta had asked for 10 thousand euros in compensation. But yesterday the panel, presided over by Giancosimo Mura, with Monia Adami and Sara Pelicci on the sides, ordered the acquittal because the fact does not exist .
And now, as soon as the reasons for the sentence are filed, lawyer Mura will proceed with a complaint for slander against his client's accuser .
