A new dormitory in Sassari . It is located in via Ardara, in the Monte Rosello Alto neighborhood, and was inaugurated in recent days by the mayor Giuseppe Mascia and the council members involved in the project completed in record time. These are the Department of Social Policies, Public Works and Heritage, led respectively by Lalla Careddu, Salvatore Sanna and Patrizia Mercuri.

The facility has a capacity of 20 places , equipped with services and the possibility of enjoying breakfast and dinner. The Guardian Angels , who have been involved in assisting people in difficulty for years, will manage everything.

"We already know who could come here," said Carla Venerdini, one of the representatives of the volunteer association. "For the others, it will be enough to have an interview, have the documents and then they can come in without problems." Caritas will take care of providing meals on weekdays, the soup kitchen on Via Canopolo on holidays, thus providing relief to a population of homeless people who often have no resources. The dormitory, built in just 20 days where there used to be a nursery school , was born from the specific will of the mayor and became a reality on Christmas Eve. "It will be a temporary structure," said Mascia while redevelopment works financed by the Pnrr are about to start in the former reception center on Via Duca degli Abruzzi.
