250,000 euros are coming to Sassari from the Region to activate 80 cameras against petty crime and to make the existing ones work. This is a sum included in the maxi-variation of the budget contained in law 18 and approved last November 21. "We will give an initial response to the community's need to feel safer and more protected", says the Budget Councilor Giuseppe Masala, referring to the recent episodes of "break-ins" against shops that have alarmed citizens and traders.

But other funding is expected, which in total amounts to 2 million and 750 thousand euros, and which will concern various items of the municipal administration . Like the million and a half of interventions destined for the maintenance of the school building heritage, the 400 thousand for roads, drains, drains and riverbeds. Most of the funds are directed to sports facilities: 300 thousand for the hippodrome, 200 thousand for the skating rink, 100 thousand for the Ottava field and 80 thousand for the Campanedda field. Finally, 50 thousand euros are expected as a contribution for the participation and realization of trade fair events.

"These are investment funds, extra money that will allow us to start some interventions that will certainly need much more financial support," Masala emphasizes . "But thanks to the work of the entire administration and the financial and Programming offices, we do not have to wait until 2025 to start planning them." Mayor Giuseppe Mascia adds: "This is certainly good news, both because it allows us to intervene in areas that have proven to be real emergencies for our community, and because it confirms the fruitful collaborative relationship established between our administration and the regional Budget department."
