According to the charges, the man had engaged in behaviors, in 2013 and 2019, perceived as sexual by the injured party. This occurred during recreational and sports activities, with groping of the private parts, asking intimate questions deemed inappropriate and during a back massage given to him by the minor . For the prosecutor Maria Paola Asara there was nothing in the man's behavior that had sexual purposes, and for this reason she requested full acquittal, while the civil party's lawyer argued the opposite. Agostinangelo Marras, defense lawyer, emphasized that there were no ulterior motives in what his client did.

The panel, chaired by Monia Adami, with Valentina Nuvoli and Paolo Bulla on the sides, pronounced a sentence of acquittal because the fact does not constitute a crime . The civil party has already announced that it will appeal.
