Sassari, 22 deaths from Covid at Casa Serena: two on trial
The president of the management company and the safety manager were accused of culpable epidemic and multiple manslaughter, first hearing in July
The two people accused of the 22 deaths of elderly people due to Covid at Casa Serena between March and April 2020 in the city were sent to trial this morning by the Gian Paolo Piana in court in Sassari.
The president of Coopas and the safety manager were accused of culpable epidemic and multiple manslaughter .
The prosecutor Paolo Piras , last February, had requested the indictment while the defense lawyers, Liliana Pintus, Marco Manca and Luigi Esposito, had asked for his acquittal.
The first hearing will be held in July 2024 .
The lawyers of the civil parties are Valentina Bianco, Paolo Spano, Antonio Meloni, Salvatore Dettori, Francesco Nurra Sini.
