Sarroch, the road in the Corriaxu area reopened after years

After years of closure, the Corriaxu-Genniauri underpass, essential for the rural viability of Sarroch, is now passable again: the road was reopened to traffic yesterday morning. For years it was a skein that no one seemed able to unravel, but - following a series of interventions carried out by Anas - one of the most important agricultural penetration roads in the country will be able to be used again by residents and landowners in that area.
The problems of the Corriaxu-Genniauri underpass had begun following the works on the section of the new state road 195 which crosses Sarroch: with every downpour, the road traveled by the inhabitants and farmers promptly ended up under two meters of water.
«In recent years, important hydraulic works have been carried out, which now allow the collection and conveyance of rainwater - explains the councilor for public works, Umberto Russo -, from now on that underpass will no longer flood. Now, we just have to wait for the reopening of another road in that area, which also runs under one of the Sulcitana bridges».
