After a long restoration project, the cycle track is once again available to the Asd Veloclub Sarroch , the local cycling club that has been at the top of the national rankings for years thanks to its talent pool.

New asphalt surface for the entire route , arrangement of the entrance and parking lots, an entire area dedicated to the gymkhana and the positioning of the stands : thanks to funding of 200 thousand euros, the Municipality has given new life to the facility located on the outskirts of the town .

"For many years - says the mayor, Angelo Dessì - the Veloclub Sarroch had been waiting for the restyling of the cycle track, whose situation was rather compromised. We are happy to have kept the commitment made and to have inaugurated the work done together with the sports club. With great pride we make this structure available to the Veloclub, the children, the athletes and the citizens ".

Umberto Russo, Councilor for Public Works, was also satisfied: «It is not easy to carry out projects and contracts, we made a commitment last year, when we came here to do an inspection. It took a year to design, contract and complete the work: we are happy to have delivered a suitable structure to the Veloclub Sarroch».

Matteo Argiolas, city councilor with responsibility for sports, is already thinking about the next steps to perfect the recently renovated facility: "Now, all that's missing is an adequate lighting system that can allow the facility to be used even when it's dark. We will work to complete the work as soon as possible."
