Since yesterday, not even a trickle of water has flown from the taps in their homes, an unsustainable situation that is causing a lot of inconvenience to the twenty-two families who live in the Su Nuraxi village in Sarroch .

The problems for the residents began last September , when an Abbanoa pipeline - which crosses private property, and on which the managing body's teams have no longer intervened since last year - reported a fault which, over time, it caused pressure drops throughout the upper part of the country . The lack of water has brought to their knees especially those residents who do not have a water supply.

" Many elderly people live in this area, some of whom are also bedridden, I find it incredible that Abbanoa leaves these people without water for twenty-four hours - says Roberto Sanna , a resident -, the problem with the conduct has been dragging on since the end of the summer, absurd that their workers cannot intervene because it is on private property".

From Abbanoa they clarify the situation: «The service will be restored today , but tomorrow we will be forced to suspend the supply again to allow private individuals to solve the problem . This leak has been causing sudden changes in pressure throughout the inhabited center for months, on our part there has always been full availability, we have been waiting for them to communicate the date of the intervention to temporarily suspend the supply to the village ».

The Municipality has worked to help residents of the Su Nuraxi Village find a solution. "We have identified a company that will repair the leak , then the residents will pay the costs - explains the councilor for public works, Umberto Russo -, however, I find it unacceptable that, by virtue of the new provisions introduced last year, the managing body disregard one of his conduct which is located within a private property, effectively abandoning twenty-two families".
