From now on they will be able to grow vegetables without fearing that drought will frustrate their efforts, guaranteeing a prosperous future for the entire village: it is a great celebration for the inhabitants of Langobaya, where thanks to the project financed by the Kenya school desk association the well has been dug which will guarantee water all year round . 22 thousand euros were needed to reach that aquifer which was 180 meters deep, and thanks to the efforts of the association which has been involved for years in humanitarian projects for the development of Kenya, the dream of guaranteeing water to the educational farm was set up thanks above all to the generosity of Sardinian activists has finally materialized.

Maura Mallus from Sarroche , vice president of Kenya school desk, is happy with the new objective achieved by the association: «In recent months we managed to build a shelter that could accommodate the goats of the educational farm, but the real challenge was to guarantee water to these people , thanks to the good hearts of all the donors and the private companies that supported us, we managed to achieve this important result." Once the well has been completed, Kenya school desk will focus on upcoming humanitarian projects.

«Drought often prevents tomatoes and courgettes from reaching maturity: with this well, from now on, in Langobaya they will no longer have these problems» , says Maura Mallus, «to complete the work, however, they still need a and the solar panels to power it: we hope that other donations will arrive soon."
