Sardinian health, commissioners arrive: reorganization bill approved

We are moving towards the arrival of the commissioners for the ASL , the AOU and the Arnas Brotzu .
The regional council has approved the long-awaited bill that aims to reorganize the entire health system of Sardinia . A process that will involve the administration of the companies before the natural expiration of the mandate of the current managers , scheduled for December 2026.
"There are two assumptions for the measure - Governor Alessandra Todde summarized at the end of the council meeting - The Microcitemico returns to Arnas Brotzu , a request made by many even during the election campaign, and the Marino hospital in Alghero from the Sassari university hospital company returns to being a city hospital, under the ASL of Sassari . Then clearly the bill contains other authentic interpretations that allow us to be able to appoint commissioners to the ASL".
The bill will be sent to the Regional Council today, which will begin the legislative process in September, first in committee and then in the Chamber. From the moment of approval, the council will have 45 days to appoint the commissioners, some of whom will probably be the current directors, perhaps with some changes of location.
"We have several open fronts such as the lack of doctors in the territory , a territory that is clearly no longer able to take care of its citizens - explained Todde - As for the situation of emergency rooms , it has been put to the test especially in the coastal areas due to the impact that tourism has on our seaside resorts, which sometimes increase their population tenfold. All these critical issues must not be addressed every time on an occasional basis, but everything must be planned".
" One of the things that doesn't work today in the ASL is planning - the president clarified - I was very surprised when I participated in the Nuoro social health conference that hadn't been convened for two and a half years. Well, it's difficult to succeed in intercepting what the demand of the territory is if we don't even meet to be able to discuss it".
The bill will be illustrated in the late afternoon to the regional secretaries of Cgil, Cisl and Uil: the meeting will be attended by Governor Todde and Health Councillor Bartolazzi.
