Sardinia triumphed at the World Folklore Festival in Gorizia , where Tenor Silanesu and the folk group Ortachis from Bolotana won two prestigious international awards: the Special Oscar, awarded for the excellence of their overall performance, and the Anthropological Prize, reserved for those who enhance cultural heritage by keeping traditions alive while encouraging dialogue between peoples.

"This is an achievement that fills us with pride," write the members of Tenore Silanesu, made up of Tore Giau, Danilo Gregoriani, Antonio Runchina, and Agostino Cappai, "which we dedicate to our community. Our gratitude goes to those who continue to believe in the power of tradition, the thread that unites the past and the future."

The same emotion was shared by the Ortachis group, who represented Sardinia with traditional dances performed with elegance and precision, receiving wide acclaim from the audience and the jury.

Tenore Silanesu, founded just three years ago , has already established itself thanks to the strong cultural identity it has infused into its musical offering. With an average age of 34, its members have performed in numerous squares across the island, and in Gorizia they brought an authentic and moving representation of traditional Sardinian singing.

With them, also the Ortachis group from Bolotana , a historic Sardinian folk dance group with extensive international experience, who managed to win over the audience with a performance full of energy and passion.
