Unfortunately , the "great victory" of the Region over the Government will not provide an answer to the many Sardinians without basic assistance . It is true that the Constitutional Court has recognized the legitimacy of the rule that allows retired doctors to return to work , but apart from the fact that those who adhere are few (the mechanism is not fluid, the Local Health Authorities must make specific projects), there are many lacking offices (393) and professionals, in general, are not satisfied with how (not) territorial health care is being relaunched.
In the budget , approved in April, 15 million euros were allocated specifically for general medicine and to provide incentives to those who go to disadvantaged areas , but to date everything is at a standstill, that money is not bearing any fruit, it is still only theory.
This is also underlined by the regional secretary of Fimmg, Umberto Nevisco, strongly critical of the many proclamations and the lack of equally consequent concrete actions. Also skeptical is Carlo Piredda, regional secretary of Simg, who, regarding retired doctors at work, underlines how it is «certainly not a solution to the shortage that is recorded in many parts of the Island. Problems are not solved like this, we have seen, and there are truly an infinite number of problems to solve».
