We return to school on September 15, 2025 .

The 2025-26 school calendar has been made official in Sardinia . The green light arrived today in the Council, a resolution proposed by the Education Councilor Ilaria Portas .

Sardinian students of all schools of all levels will return to school on Monday 15 September. Lessons will end on Monday 8 June 2026, while nursery school activities will end on 30 June .

The school year will last 204 days , reduced to 203 if the Patron Saint's Day falls during a school year. If classes are held five days a week, the days become 171.

Individual schools, with autonomy, for justified needs and after agreement with the competent territorial bodies, can bring forward the start date of lessons and adapt the calendar to specific local or didactic needs, without prejudice to the obligation to ensure at least 200 days of lessons .

These are the suspensions for the holidays.

November 1st - All Saints' Day

December 8 - Immaculate Conception

from December 23rd to January 6th – Christmas holidays

February 17 - Shrove Tuesday

from 2nd to 7th April – Easter holidays

April 25 - Liberation Day

April 28 - Sa Die de sa Sardigna

May 1st - Labor Day

June 2 - National Republic Day

Patron Saint's Day (according to current legislation, if it falls on a school day)

Furthermore, two days are established at the disposal of the School Board, which becomes one in the event that the Patron Saint's Day of the relevant Municipality falls during the school term.
