There are 16 fires that broke out today in Sardinia , three of which required the intervention of the regional fleet's aircraft .

Two helicopters in flight for the fire that broke out in the countryside of the Municipality of Escalaplano , in the Sedda Intrezza area, whose extinguishing was coordinated by the personnel of the Escalaplano Forestry Corps Station, assisted by personnel on board the aircraft from the Villasalto and San Cosimo bases. Two teams from the Forestas Agency intervened from the Escalaplano and Esterzili construction sites. The extinguishing operations concluded at 12:30. The fire covered an area of approximately 0.6 hectares of low scrub .

A helicopter was also needed to put out the fire that broke out in the countryside of the Municipality of Lanusei , Costa Cocco, with the extinguishing operations coordinated by the personnel of the Lanusei Forestry Corps Station, assisted by the personnel on board the aircraft coming from the San Cosimo base. In addition to a team from the Lanusei Forestry Corps, volunteers from Ilbono and the Lanusei Fire Brigade intervened. The extinguishing operations by the aircraft ended around 4 pm and the fire affected an area of approximately 0.2 hectares of low scrub.

Flames also in the countryside of the Municipality of Donori , on the outskirts of the town , with the extinguishing operations coordinated by the personnel of the Forestry Corps Station of Dolianova, assisted by personnel on board the helicopters from the CFVA bases of Villasalto and Pula. In addition to the Forestry Corps, a team from the Forestas Agency of the Monastir shipyards, the Fire Brigade of Cagliari and a team of volunteers from Sant'Andrea Frius also intervened.

The burned surface was quantified at 1 hectare. The extinguishing operations by the air vehicles concluded shortly before 19.00.
