The Francesco Cocco School of political culture is organizing a conference for study, analysis and proposals for tomorrow (Cagliari, hotel Regina Margherita, from 9am to 1pm and from 2.30pm to 7.30pm, reception from 8.30am) entitled: "Sardinia, for a new special StatuteIdeas , projects and possible self-government processes" , proposals developed by researchers, jurists, politicians and professionals on Energy, Territorial Government, Urban Planning, Environment, Landscape and Transport,

As stated in a press release presenting the initiative, « the ideal references between federalism and self-government refer to the great protagonists and thinkers of Sardinian and national political and cultural history such as Angioy, Tuveri, Asproni, Mazzini, Cattaneo, Gramsci, Bellieni, Lussu, Simon Mossa, Melis and the popular political, identity, ethnocultural and independence movements active in Sardinia from the 70s to the present day" . The six subjects indicated above will be addressed from the following 5 points of view: political, technical-scientific,

legal-constitutional, economic-employment and financial, fiscal and fiscal matters. “The analysis and operational proposals arise from personalities from the various worlds of the economy, business, university, school, professions, trade unions and culture operating in Sardinia. Constitutionalists and jurists, territorial planners and urban planners, philosophers, economists, engineers, politicians, tax experts, energy systems experts, financial resources and fiscal federalism experts are invited.

«In our opinion», we read in the note, «there are the conditions for a rewriting of the Special Statute which, among other fundamental points to be reviewed, at least on the matters listed allows for the identification of real paths of self-government or, for some scholars and protagonists of the political and cultural history of Sardinia, paths of "integral autonomy" of the Sardinian people. Every change process needs concreteness and for this reason we believe that an integrated approach to the six subjects from the five points of view indicated will allow us to identify realistic proposals, also indicating the economic and financial resources suitable for their implementation, immediately accessible by elective institutions and all the decision-making places responsible for leading Sardinia".
