«The maritime connection between Gallura and Corsica is worsening as time goes by, despite the reassurances received in recent months».

This was underlined by the secretary of Fit Cisl Gallura, Tomaso Manconi , recalling the reports made by the union regarding a service that, in fact, lengthened the ferry's travel times.

"They had replied that the service, set up like this, would continue for a short period. Instead - Manconi attacks - now insult is added to injury, with the blocking, due to technical problems, of the replacement ship from Golfo Aranci. All to the detriment of cross-border workers who have found themselves in this uncomfortable situation since August and who are forced to extend their stay on the island at their own expense, without the certainty of a return date and, in addition, with a journey three hours longer than the original one".

"It's time - concludes the Gallura secretary - that we intervened, the situation has become unsustainable especially for the workers".
