Checks have been started to ascertain the cause of the sudden breakage of the blades of a wind tower in the industrial area of Macchiareddu. This was announced by Sardaeolica, a company controlled by Saras, owner of the plant for the production of energy from renewable sources.
Yesterday the mistral blew with gusts that touched 100 kilometers per hour. And it may have contributed to the failure, which caused the anomalous "collapsing" of the structure.
«The damage», the company communicates, «did not cause harm to people. The shovel involved is located in an area already limited and promptly placed in safety ».
Furthermore , "checks have been started to ascertain the causes of the event and procedures have been activated for the removal and replacement of the damaged part".
