Innovation , sustainability and good practices were at the center of the meeting between a South Korean delegation and Sardegna Ricerche .

The visit of Kidi – Korea Island Development Institute – took place this morning at the Science and Technology Park of Pula to learn about the activities and strategies for sustainable innovation implemented by Sardegna Ricerche.

"It is significant that Kidi has chosen Sardegna Ricerche as the first stage of its tour of the main institutions of the Mediterranean islands - highlighted Maria Assunta Serra , general manager of Sardegna Ricerche - Today we have laid the foundations for a future and fruitful collaboration on that we hold dear: innovation and sustainable development».

The Kidi, which belongs to the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Korea, has among its objectives that of growing and improving the sustainable economy of its approximately 4,000 islands . «The Kidi is the first ever center totally dedicated to the development of the islands. We are honored to have been received by Sardegna Ricerche and certain that we have paved the way for future collaborations», commented Oh Dong-Ho , president of Kidi.

The meeting was also attended by the regional programming center and the regional environment department which, with Sardegna Ricerche, illustrated the various projects linked to sustainability. At the end of the meeting, the delegation went to CRS4 to get to know the research and development center.

Giacomo Cao, sole administrator of CRS4: «We welcomed the South Korean delegation with great pleasure and we hope the establishment of fruitful relationships not only on the technical-scientific issues of competence of the Center but also on particularly innovative topics in which we will be able to be involved in the future ».
