Pierpaolo Marullo is the new commander of the Local Police of Cagliari. Born on May 1st ("I learned immediately, as soon as I arrived in Cagliari, that this date is very important here"), three degrees and a master's degree, a very long experience that began in 1988 as a municipal police officer, then all the steps of the career up to the first Command in 2006 in Olbia and a series of subsequent assignments, always as commander, in various Municipalities and Unions of Municipalities in Emilia-Romagna.

"From a professional point of view , it is a highly prestigious assignment for me, Cagliari is a metropolitan city and I am very honored", says Marullo a week after taking up office. The first impact is very positive: "A beautiful, welcoming, lively city: I have seen so much excitement, so many activities, so much tourism. Cagliari is wonderful, the sea is one of my great passions and this is also useful from a personal point of view".

The approach with the Local Police Corps was also good: «I found a structured Command, where the presence of high professionalism is noticeable», he underlines. « Of course, there is always room for improvement , with experiences that, if shared, can lead to further results».

"I expect collaboration from the community: the police are the citizens, the citizens are the police ", Marullo's message. "Alone we cannot do much, the citizens too: together instead we have a great potential and we can be useful to each other".

Among the first ideas, to be discussed with the administration and the Corps first of all, the study of new ways of communicating with citizens : reports, notices, updates on the traffic situation in the city. Methods already tested in previous experiences.
