It all started with a borrowed deck of cards and a lightning intuition . Sarah had never thought of becoming a fortune teller, yet that day thirty years ago, without knowing the meaning of the figures, she managed to say something right. "It was intuition," she says.
From that moment on, his life took an unexpected direction. Today, in Cagliari, his name is known to those seeking answers, hope or simply a little comfort. From the most exclusive discos to luxury hotels, from politicians to millionaires, to the humblest people: everyone, sooner or later, needs to look beyond the visible .
In the 1990s, an unexpected turning point came. One of the most exclusive nightclubs in the city, Spazio Newton, was looking for a “Sibilla,” someone capable of reading the cards between the music and the strobe lights. “They made a selection and chose me. I had to prove that I could see the owner’s personal details: I had succeeded and that’s where it all started.”
From that moment on, his business expanded: private parties, trendy clubs, beach resorts. For three years he worked at Forte Village: «For many regulars it was very normal to have their cards read. Even today, various luxury hotels in Villasimius call me».
And so what started as a passion becomes a real profession. "With word of mouth and the feedback from those who came to me, it became a big thing." And yet, Sarah has never stopped training in other fields: she is a hypnologist, a social services technician, and has worked in nurseries as a teacher. "But now I dedicate myself only to this. I like it and it gives me satisfaction."
But who turns to a fortune teller? "Everyone. From the humblest to the millionaires. I have clients who work for the Vatican, lawyers, judges, politicians, law enforcement. But also people in difficulty, prostitutes, workers. The concerns are the same for everyone."
While love remains the most popular topic, the question has changed in recent years. "There is a lot of anxiety about work, about the future of children. And then there are those who want to understand their partner's mood swings, those who fear being discovered in secret relationships, those who have lost something or someone."
Sometimes, however, her gift has proved to be fundamental in dramatic situations. "A group of girls were looking for a missing friend. I saw the sea, a ship and unfortunately she was lifeless with only one shoe on. She was found just like that."
Sarah, however, has very specific ethical limits. "I don't do rituals. Many people want to tie someone to themselves or destroy a relationship, but I don't believe in these things. People must unite by mutual will, you can't go against natural events."
And he warns against charlatans. "There are huge scams in this sector. People who convince themselves they have anti-rituals and spend thousands of euros to get rid of them. Some end up in therapy. For this reason, I always say to be wary of any type of ritual. I recommend taking the consultation as a starting point for reflection. Things come but you must not get fixated: you have to continue moving forward, make your own choices and above all you must stay away from those who try to play with the fragility and vulnerability of people."
Although the profession may seem cold and detached, the woman has also managed to create deep bonds with the consultants. "They bring me flowers, homemade sweets, oil, eggs. Beautiful friendships have also been born."
And in his house, among tarot cards and sibyls, there is also room for spirituality. "I always have the symbol of Saint Benedict with me. He is the saint invoked by exorcists against negativity. I recommend it to those who feel particularly vulnerable."
After thirty years, her journey continues. Between past and future, between cards and intuition, Sarah never stops listening and interpreting, trying to bring, in her own way, a little light into the lives of those who trust her.
