The Carabinieri of the Santadi station, with the support of their colleagues from the Narcao station, interrupted an attempted fuel theft in a rural area of lower Sulcis.
The soldiers, carrying out a patrol in the Is Toneddus area, noticed the suspicious light of a flashlight in a local business and approached, surprising a 44-year-old unemployed man already known to the police, who was busy removing diesel fuel from the tank of an electric generator.

The timely intervention of the Carabinieri officers allowed them to apprehend the man and recover the stolen fuel. The man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of aggravated theft.
