The Siniscola State Police have executed the precautionary custody order issued by the Sassari surveillance court against a 76-year-old Siniscola man accused of assault.

The order was carried out by officials from the Siniscola Public Safety Station and requires the serving of the remaining sentence of one year, six months, and 19 days.

The man had been arrested in November 2024 for attempted murder for hitting an elderly woman with a car jack at the height of an argument over a parking space in a supermarket rest area .

The 76-year-old was placed under house arrest.
